Role Overview
We’re seeking a motivated Business Development Intern to support our ambitious expansion plans, joint venture development, and financial planning. This role offers hands-on experience in scaling a successful food business with strong focus on financial analysis and business modeling.
Key Responsibilities
Market Research & Analysis:
- Research local & international markets for gelato expansion opportunities
- Analyze competitor landscapes in target markets
- Identify potential B2B partners, distributors, and retail locations
- Support feasibility studies for new market entries
Business Model Development:
- Assist in developing joint venture structures and partnership models
- Research franchise vs. licensing vs. direct investment options
- Support financial modeling for expansion
- Help structure pop-up and temporary store concepts
Financial Analysis & Planning:
- Assist with P&L analysis and monthly financial reporting
- Support budget planning and variance analysis
- Help develop investment proposals and business cases
- Analyze cost structures for different expansion models
- Support ROI calculations for new market entries
- Assist with cash flow projections and financial forecasting
- Help prepare financial presentations for potential investors
- Support pricing strategy analysis for new markets

Ideal Candidate
- Currently pursuing Bachelor’s/Master’s in Business, Finance, International Business, or related field
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
- Interest in food industry and sustainable business practices
- Excellent English communication skills
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable in fast-paced environment
- Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, and financial analysis tools
- Passion for entrepreneurship and scaling businesses
- Basic understanding of P&L statements and financial planning
Internship Type
This would be a paid educational internship. We’ll provide:
