Miuz Gelato is an artisanal Italian gelateria located in the heart of Amsterdam, blending time-honored Italian traditions with modern innovation. We craft our gelato using high-quality ingredients, sourced locally and sustainably where possible — from Dutch milk and strawberries to premium pistachios from Bronte.

Our commitment to quality goes hand in hand with our focus on sustainability, using recyclable and compostable packaging and supporting local producers.

After successfully opening our second store within three years, we are now entering a new phase of growth and scaling our operations.

The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Leader to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of leadership experience in the Hospitality sector and will be passionate about delivering exceptional customer service. This role requires 5 days/week availability (at least 3 days during evening hours including weekends).

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring every guest is greeted warmly and attended to promptly.
• Foster a welcoming environment that encourages repeat business through courteous and efficient service.
• Take an active role in floor operations, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
• Demonstrate leadership during evening shifts by managing the team effectively and ensuring seamless operations.
• Supervise the presentation and portioning of artisanal gelato and other products, ensuring consistency and quality.
• Uphold all health and safety regulations within the store.
• Train, mentor, and support new team members to ensure high standards of service.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues that arise promptly and professionally.
• Oversee inventory management, ensuring adequate stock levels and minimizing waste.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of leadership experience in the Horeca industry.
• Availability to work evening shifts during weekends.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Passion for high-quality food products and sustainability.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
